What's a good budget to set for a gaming pc that could run most games at 1080p at 60 fps? Nothing too expensive, at the most $1500. I've turned 16 (today) and can finally get a job and start saving.

This would be awesome at 60hz 1080p. You really could get by with an i3 + 960 if you needed to. I would be keeping an eye on the new RX470 and 480. Also consider adding a ssd although it is not necessary.

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB ACX 2.0+ Video...
Well the quick answer is "as much as possible." The longer answer: depends. For 1080p, and basic VR, $800 is probably the sweet spot. Enough for a RX 480, i5, and decent other parts. It's maybe $200 more for 1440 and 4K each. Streaming, overclocking and such are what drives builds above that.

I compiled this Pc Part Picker. Is this too much? (nothing is "TOO" much), but is there anything i could cut back on in price with out losing performance. I left out the graphics card as by the time I will have actually saved up to a reasonable amount certain cards like the RX 480 would be released. And other cards might drop in price like the 980 (possibly). I see you said i5, but I couldn't help seeing 4.0Ghz and adding it., Would games actually need this much?
