Disable igpu on a8 3870k

I have an a8 3870k with an asrock a75m-itx motherboard. I just got a r7 240 for it but the computer is still using the igpu on the a8 3870K. The HDMI is plugged into the r7 240 and gpu-z says I am still using the igpu. Can someone please tell me how I can get the computer to use the r7 240 instead?

On GPU z it shows that the GPU clock is at 625mhz and the memory clock is 600mhz which are the the frequency's that the HD 6550d (igpu) runs at. It also says under GPU name that the GPU is an HD 6450 but that is also strange because an HD 6450 is not as powerful as an r7 240 nor the igpu.
