Im planning on buying the nvidia shield tablet and pairing it with an ipega controller. I hear that a regular phone charger (2.1 A) is not enough to keep it running while plugged in. I also dont want to spend $30 on nvidia's official charger. All the 2.4 amp chargers ive looked at have reviews saying they blew up or something. Can someone link me a good 2.4 A charger with 2 ports (one for the controller, second port doesn't have to be 2.4 A) that wont blow up? Thanks!

Solution
It should work, but running anything right at it's limit can shorten life span. I understand the cost issue though. If it doesn't work you can always try something different but it may well work forever. Let's hope it's also overbuilt :)

Thanks for the reply, that it a little pricey I was thinking around $15, if neither of us can find one then ill deffinetally go with the one you reccomended.

[Update]

Anker is a trusted brand, so I assume this will be good too. https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Charger-PowerPort-Foldable-iPhone/dp/B012WMWPJW/ref=pd_sim_107_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=31wF1tMSXIL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=6JWFSAVASB7528059X4N

It says up to 2.4 amps is that going to be enough?
