Over Christmas last year I bought myself a new rig including:
i7-6700k
EVGA 980 ti Hybrid
850w 80+ bronze PSU
16 GB RAM
144hz 1080p monitor
and a new keyboard and mouse
Now.... I play games like CoD 4, BF 3/4 and soon BF1, Dota 2, TF2, occasionally CSGO, but mainly fps games and dota. Ever since I got my new monitor, I cannot stand playing 60 fps. It's just not smooth enough to me now that I spoiled myself.
Looking forward to 2018 when volta comes out I plan on upgrading to 4k 144hz monitor (assuming since Asus just announced that they have a working one in beta i'm sure it will be out in 2 years).
Until that time, do you guys think I should SLI my 980 ti to keep up with upcoming games so I can run them 1080p 144fps? or maybe sell it for a 1080 and use that to wait out the 2 years. I wouldn't wanna wait for the 1080 ti. By that time I could just wait another year.
