So I have a MSI GTX 980 Ti Lightning Ed. and it has two 8 pin power connectors and one 6 pin power connector. My EVGA Supernova 1000 T2 PSU has plenty of 6+2 pin connectors, but it also has a (6+2) + 6 power connector as well. So far, I've had the rig running just fine off of one 6 + 2 and the (6 + 2) + 6 power cables, with the second cable running the second 8 pin as well as the 6 pin connector. I hate the look of the (6 + 2) + 6 cable, because the +6 section just has this weird loop of cable that protrudes out from the 6+2 connector. would it put too much power to the card if i swapped it out for separate 6 + 2 and 6 power connectors?
