2x2gb & 2x4gb RAM on amd phenom ii x4 955 win 7 32 bit ? will it work ? or 2x4gb will be compatible ?

Hi guys, so title pretty much tells my doubt, I have 2x2gb installed on win 7 ultimate 32 bit, but lately thinkin to add some memory ,thought to add 2x2gb further,or 2x4gb , but reading some forums , it is said that win 7 32 bit wont support >4gb , is that true ? Can't I even have 4x2gb=8gb ? Please do guide.

yep 32bit Win is limited to 4GB (about 3.5 actually), if you were to go to 64bit Win then I'd try 2x4GB of 1066 or 1333 max, your CPU tops at about 1333, the 965 was the first that could effectively run 1600 sticks

I have the sister to that motherboard and the max RAM is 16GB, at least on the m4a87td. no on board graphics is the only difference that I can see.
Windows is another issue, 32 bits is @ 4GB.Windows will only see 3.5 though. any ram past that will not be seen by windows.
you can install it but it will not be used unless you install a 64-bit OS.
