I have a 150gb HDD and I want to transfer ONLY windows to the new SSD and a few games.
How do I do that? and will I need to install windows on the SSD

THANKS!
(in advance)

Solution
OK.

Get your total used space on the C drive to below 100GB
Get and install the above application, Macrium Reflect
Power off and disconnect ALL drives except the current C and the new SSD
Run the application, making sure to select all the partitions on that Source disk
Go
When it is done, power off
Disconnect the original C drive
Swap the SATA cables so the new drive is in the same SATA port as the original was
Making sure we now have only the new SSD connected, power up
If all went well, it should boot up with no problem
Maybe reboot a couple of times, just to ensure it actually works
When you're satisfied it is actually working from the new drive, now you reconnect the old drive
Wipe it and use as needed.

You can't transfer only the OS and "a few games". There is no pick and choose application to do that.

You have 2 options, Clone or Clean install on the new drive

Clone requires that the total used space on the C partition to be well below the size of your SSD.
You can generally leave out things like doc/music/video. But other than that, everything goes.

Clean install is just that. A reinstallation of the OS on this new drive.
This requires reinstallation of all your applications as well.

So, let's investigate.
How much total used space is on the C drive?
What OS is it?
How much of that space is doc/music/funny cat videos/Steam games?
