I've only used Intel CPU's in the computers I've built in the past because they made sense to me and I knew they were reliable. Now is about the time where I need to figure out AMD CPU's. I compared two Intel CPU's with one AMD CPU and the thing that didn't make sense was the money.

i7-6850K 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor ~$630
i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ~$330

FX-9590 4.7GHz 8-Core Processor ~$200

I think there is something I'm not seeing because the FX has .7GHz higher than the i7-6700K and 2 more cores than the i7-6850K while being practically almost half the price of the i7-6700K and a third of the price of the i7-6850K.

So, my question is: What is the downfall of getting AMD CPU's and, if there are none, why am I still buying Intel CPU's?

Solution
Stay Away From The AMD Processors! The FX series are very outdated and feature very weak cores. The 9590 will use an unbelievable amount of energy and generate too much heat , requiring high amounts of fans /cooling. If you like AMD then wait for AMD ZEN :)
On The Intel Side, the processors are on the new Skylake Socket. So its very up to date with everything else and their cores are very strong . Intel will generate less heat and require less power.
Overall Thoughts Are To Wait For AMD ZEN or Get The Skylake Processors
