I just installed a graphics NVIDIA Geforce 210. I only had a Intel integrated before. I disabled the integraged, powered off, installed the new, hooked cable to new card, powered on, fine. installed the drivers and software needed, did the mandatory restart, computer starts, see windows logo, then it goes to power save. I even hooked to my HD tv and it did the same thing. The power supply meets the min requirements. I can enter through safe mode but that is the only way the monitor will come up while hooked into the new card.

Suggestions?

When I go back to the onboard graphics and go into bios, the PCIex doesn't show in the bios. I can only select onboard in menu. This is a brand new card. I am not sure what you mean by trying different outputs on the card? The card requires at least a 300 watt power supply with 18 amps on the 12+. That is what my power supply is. I ordered a new EVGA 500 watt power supply that will be here tomorrow in case that is the issue.

A 210 will run on a lower wattage than a 300 watt PSU, as long as it's good quality. That is a very low end card without much power requirements. By different outputs I mean the card should have more than one video output, did you try more than one?

I tried using the DVI connection and nothing. Tried the HDMI, nothing. VGA, nothing. If I uninstall the software, and plug the connection back to the new card everything boots up as supposed to. But as soon I reinstall the software and do the mandatory restart for the new software, then it's hello power save mode.
