How many fans can i plug in this motherboard

Motherboard: MSI Z170A GAMING PRO CARBON
Fans: Noctua IndustrialPPC NF-F12 4 pins.

I also have a CPU water cooler, with 2x 120mm fans on, which I want to include in my build.

You can fit up to 5 4-pin fans with 2 CPU_FAN connector for twice cpu cooling fans and 3 CHA_FAN connector for Case fans. So technically it can fit 5 fans with 4-pin connector.

Im pretty blonde when it comes to fans, so it means that I can plug my 2 cpu cooler fans in, + 3 normal case fans? I want to fit as many as possible in my case (+ they need to work too, of course)

Yes, but you can also use 4 Case fans if your CPU cooler only need one connector. For another 80mm fans you can plug their power connector on molex 4-pin 12V comes from psu. You can also add External fan controller for more fans. You will also need higher PSU power for a lot of fans.

I've just looked at the connectors for my cpu cooler. There's two connectors, obviously for the two fans. One of the connectors has 4 pins in it, and the other one has 3 pins. Will I still be able to plug 3 normal noctua case fans in the motherboard?
