Hey guys, this is my first post here and I was hoping for some input on my next build. I've built 2 PCs prior to this, but my last was in 2010 and technology has obviously come a long way since then. I've done a fair amount of research and have settled on components, but I'd like to get the best performance out of this build. That's where you guys come in. I'd like your feedback on my components and appreciate any suggestions for hardware you think would be better suited for this build (e.g. "this mobo is better with this cpu", etc.). So here goes, this is my parts list. Tell me what you think. Thanks in advance for your comments/suggestions.

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K
CPU Cooler: Deepcool CAPTAIN 240 WHITE 182.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (this is temporary as the whole system will be water cooled later down the line)
Motherboard: Asus ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO ALPHA
Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (I plan on upgrading later to 64GB which is why this is in a 2x16 configuration rather than a 4x8)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive + Western Digital BLACK SERIES 4TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB Superclocked+ ACX 2.0
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Primo White
Power Supply: EVGA 850W 80+ Gold (fully modular)
Optical Drive: LG UH12NS29 Blu-Ray Reader, DVD/CD Writer

Some notes about this build: Will be used heavily for gaming, but will also be my main platform for video/picture/audio editing.

I'm going to base my answer on the assumption that you are using your rig for gaming and general internet stuff. If you are a 3D/Graphic Designer/Bitcoin mining type, disregard.

- i7? Unnecessary, i5's come within a few frames. That extra ~$100 could go toward a better/second GPU. Hyperthreading is useless for games.

- 32GB RAM? Overkill... 16GB is MORE than enough for almost everyone. Even 16 GB is probably overkill.

- Liquid CPU cooling? A "me too" fad for the gotta-have-its. Unless you are going for the elite high-end of overclocks, don't bother. A decent cooler like the HyperMaster 212 evo does just fine, assuming you have a decent case with good airflow. I never got why people are so anxious to run liquid inside an environment where potential moisture is its worst enemy.

850 watts is fine, but unless you plan to SLI in the future, 600-650 is plenty for a single card setup. I have SLI GTX 670's running on a Seasonic 650W PSU and have never had a problem.

Spend the extra "pork fat" on a better GPU (1080/1070 SLI) or a wicked monitor. The extra RAM, i7, and water cooling won't give you any tangible results.
