Hello,

Recently, I installed a i7-3930k with a Corsair H80i v2 cooler. I'm a bit concerned, as the idle temperatures are hovering around 50-55 C. I have tried reseating the cooler 3 times, and the thermal paste looks to be adequately dispersed. Checked a few monitoring programs, and all show the same temperatures. I reset the BIOS to clear any sort of OC that may have been in place, though none was to my knowledge. Looking for any other ideas on what might be causing the idle temperature to be so high...

Thanks for the help!

It is not OC'd. I have observed with it open, and everything looks to be running as expected. There are two intake fans at the front of the case, and then the cooler itself has 2 exhaust fans.

Yes, I've checked Corsair Link and the pump is definitely spinning.
