Compared to everyone else, I have very low scores even when OCing my GTX 1070 FE to 2000 MHz core clock...

Here is my screenshot :

Keep in mind, I OC'ed my 1070 when I benchmarked this. Throughout the benchmark, I have been noticing stuttering too.

Here is my full PC specs :

PC Specs:
CPU - i7-3770
GPU - GTX 1070 Founder's Edition
RAM - 12 GB @ 1600 MHz
MOBO - Dell Vostro 470
HDD- 2TB WD
PSU - EVGA 500w
Monitor - Samsung SyncMaster S24B300 1080p

Here are the pics that I have seen :

I just tested my GPU again in Unigine Valley and got a REALLY low score compared to the one I saw on a website.

Website :

I used the same settings that the website used in the benchmark.

I am hoping you guys can shine light on this situation, since I am sure you are more knowledgeable on this than I am.

Solution
one thing is weird... if you get 82-3°C, I'd expect fan to run at much higher than 40%, on some sites there are claims the cards therm throttle at 83, but nothing solid at hand. I'd definitely try pushing fan to 100% and re-check.

Have you checked whether the GPU is not hitting throttle? GPU-Z utility can show you all the temps, frequencies, loads etc. Though not sure atm if they already support GTX-1070. Maybe try reinstalling driver or install new one if/when avail, but throttle would be my primary suspect.

Other than that, do you think there are any other ways I can help solve this problem? Because I really don't want my GPU to be under utilized. I am going to do what you said and update you on that, hopefully tomorrow. Sorry for bugging you, I just want other ways to help solve this problem, if you are not going to be there, yeah know?

this is how you solve your problem in 10 minutes: use DDU to uninstall your nvidia drivers in safe mode and then install latest nvidia drivers from nvidia.com

I use MSI Afterburner to monitor my GPU. I saw that my clocks were solid. My core clock sat at a very constant 1999 MHz, and my memory clock sat at a consistent 4104 MHz, I believe. My temps were at 82-83 degrees Celsius. Fan speed at 40%. I really do hope that it is not my PSUs fault. Cause that would be a pain to upgrade.

1) Your GPU processes code at the frequency that it's running at (at 1000MHz it processes at exactly HALF of what it does at 2000MHz for the same GPU). Thus, you are getting the proper processing.

If temperature was an issue, the frequency would drop. If POWER was an issue then it might crash but the frequency would not stay high.

2) The SETTINGS are not the same. The one with the high score does not have anti-aliasing enabled.

Which scores are you talking about? Just to make sure. Because I am pretty certain I turned AA off. I'll run the test again and show you the scores I get again, if need be.

There is such a thing where when you over clock a graphics card it has a negative effect on how well the card performs.
and the final result in frame rates.

By over clocking a graphics card you are asking the Gpu and the memory of the card to work at a higher frequency.
This can throw out the timing between the gpu and the memory of the graphics card, causing a lower than expected frame rate result.

Back the over clock of the Gpu and the memory speed of the card and test again.
See if the frame rate results improve.

As said the harder you over clock a graphics card the more hotter it will get, and the Gpu on the card will thermal throttle.
Again causing a negative effect on the final FPS results.

One of the reasons why you should back both the speed of the Gpu and memory of the card down slightly.

Don`t always think just because you increase the gpu clock speed and the memory speed of a graphics card it will improve or add extra frame per second.

Hey bro, I just benchmarked my GPU again with stock settings.

Here it is :

I am still getting lower scores than most people, I am pretty sure.

There. My scores are still low...

Besides this, GTA V stutters like hell still even though I have the GODDAMN GTX 1070! I do not understand how it would still stutter with 8 GBs of VRAM. Before the GTX 1070, I had the GTX 970, and I thought GTA V was stuttering because of the 3.5 GBs VRAM, but no it is still stuttering with the GTX 1070! And I am playing at 1080p too!!! Also Watch Dogs with the E3 Mod, Max Settings, with Temporal SMAA, gets lower FPS than some of the older GPUs on YouTube, which I do not understand. Then there's Crysis 3, which I get lower FPS than the videos on YouTube... Ughhh

Is your your gpu usage 90-100% during the benchmarking .if so then i suggest you to do clean reinstall of the windows.also if the problem persisted with your 970 then i guess the problem lies somewhere. Is your processor overclocked?

Will benchmark again and see if my GPU usage is 90-100%. My processor is non-overclockable so no. I have the i7-3770 (non-K).
