Hi,

I am building a budget gaming rig and have selected CPU, GPU and MOBO...

Motherboard: ASUS H170 PRO GAMING
CPU: i5 6600
GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 750 Ti

Which would you recommend: GTX 750 Ti or 950???
I have absolutely no idea on how to select or what to look for when choosing cabinet and PSU. Kindly provide me suggestions and its limitations. I would be very happy if someone could help! :??:

Solution
You can save a few bucks going with an i5 6500 instead. There's a tiny clock speed difference that isn't worth the extra money really.

For the GPU, don't go with any of the ones available right now. AMD is releasing their new Rx 460 (100$), Rx 470 (150$) and Rx 480 (200$) cards soon which will outperform anything currently available at equivalent prices by a significant margin. Nvidia options aren't currently available as Nvidia decided to start their current Pascal lineup (GTX 1000 series) with the high and mid-end cards, while AMD's Polaris lineup (Rx 4XX up to Rx 480) consists only of budget cards.

For the PSU, a Seasonic S12II 520W would be a good choice. Doesn't cost much and has decent build quality.

For a case, well really...

For a case, well really depends on how much money you've left to spend and personal taste. Really as long as it fits your components anything will work. If you want it to actually look good, the Corsair SPEC cases and the NZXT S340 are both pretty budget-oriented and look good.

So, 520W enough for all those components? I was thinking of 750+ Watts... When do we go for higher watting?
What are differences between Corsair RM - VS - CS - CX- CM? Which one should I go?

How about this cabinet: Corsair CC-9011050-WW Carbide Series SPEC-01
http://www.amazon.in/Corsair-CC-9011050-WW-Carbide-SPEC-01-Mid-Tower/dp/B00I6BJATW

520W is enough for a single regular power GPU. 650W would be recommended for high power draw cards such as the R9 390X, 750W is recommended for two normal power draw cards.

As far as Corsair goes, you'd want to go with their RMx, AXi, or HXi PSUs (RMi are same quality but have Corsair Link support). RM, VS, CS, CX and CM are all pretty bad. If you don't want to spend this much, Seasonic S12II is a good option, and any XFX PSU except the 450W XT is good.

All of the SPEC cases (including SPEC-01) are good. Which one to get really depends on personal preference.

Great ! So, updating my options....

Motherboard: ASUS H170 PRO GAMING
CPU: i5 6600
Cabinet: Corsair CC-9011050-WW Carbide Series SPEC-01
PSU: CORSAIR RMx Series RM550X

Please advice on RAM... DDR4... For gaming, speed matters right? 2100 / 2400 / 3200 Mhz...
Which is better: Corsair or Gskill? Any concerns with Cas Latency?

No, for gaming speed doesn't really matter. There is some improvement but it isn't significant. Also, only Z170 boards (at least with 1151 socket) support speeds higher than 2133MHz.

CAS Latency on the other hand is a different story. You want to get the lowest CAS Latency you can (especially since you're limited to 2133MHz) without overspending on the RAM. As for brand, as long as you're not buying from "PRO GAMER RAM" from China or something it's good. Crucial, G.Skill, Corsair, Kingston, TeamGroup, Mushkin, OCZ, Patriot, Transcend, and PNY are all decent brands.

Can I buy this 2 parts for 16GB: Corsair Memory — 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4 2133MHz CL15 DIMM (CMV8GX4M1A2133C15)
http://www.corsair.com/en-in/corsair-memory-8gb-1x8gb-ddr4-2133mhz-cl15-dimm-cmv8gx4m1a2133c15

I checked memory compatibility list for my MOBO here: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/H170_PRO_GAMING/H170_PRO_GAMING_memory_QVL.pdf?_ga=1.211478037.1263562333.1466056075

Great. Until the new AMD cards are readily available you can use the integrated graphics of the CPU. It's actually fairly capable, especially on the desktop CPUs. You won't be playing Witcher 3 at 1080p or anything like that with it, but it can run quite a few games with no issues.
