I built my computer about two years ago and now I have a big problem with it. About a week ago my PC wouldn't turn on and after I got it turn on it would work fine, but the next day it would be the same problem again. There were just no power coming up after i pushed the power button, but my Xbox 360 controller connected to it keep flashing light. I tried adjusting the power switch connector and even tried to jump start the computer by using a screwdriver to short the pin on the motherboard and sometime it worked and sometime it didn't. I wonder if it's because of my power supply or my motherboard or because of the power button. Now it seem to be turning on fine for the last 2 days. But I still want to know the reason in case I have to change some component in the computer.
My Spec

CPU: I7 4790
Mobo: Asrock B85 pro4
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 970 Gaming 4G
Ram: 16GB Avexir Blitz Series 1600mhz
SSD: Samsung 840 evo 256GB
HDD: 2TB Seagate
PSU: Aerocool Strike-Force X 800W
Windows 10 Pro
Case: Sama G3 (Chinese case I think. I live in Cambodia, it's hard to find a good case)

Solution
1) take the PSU out to test it by paper clip method. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=63991 if it does pass. Go to #2.
2) Use minimum hardware to run the PC, I mean disconnect the xbox, gtx970, and other hardware, using the onboard intel iGPU to test.
3) may check the RAM one by one with MemTest86 http://www.memtest86.com/download.htm You want to run only few rounds test, if it has the error(s), that may cause the problem.
3) Because you did try to boot the PC by the screwdriver to short the pin, and your PC still sometime worked and sometime didn't, so the MB may have problem too, also that means the power switch has not problem.
