Hey guys,
yesterday I tried to overclock my CPU with Gigabyte's Easytune software. Turns out it was a pretty bad idea...

After I set the overclock to 4.4Ghz in Easytune and the reboot was prompted my PC wouldn't turn on again.

Now here is what is really strange to me:
After turning on there is no signal to my monitor and no beeping. There is only a strange clicking sound repeating every 2 seconds.
I first thought it was the PSU making the sound so I replaced it with another one, but the clicking noise was sill there.

So I decided to disconnect everything but the CPU, 1x 4GB RAM, 1 SSD and voilà I finally get into my Windows 10.
After 2 minutes on Windows, BAM Blue Screen with the error WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. It reboots and after 2 minutes blue screen again with the same error.

I turn my PC off and try to boot. The clicking sound was back. Turns out I was just lucky booting it into Windows in the first place.

Here is my build:
GPU: MSI R9 380 4GB
CPU: Intel i7-4770K
COOLER: Enermax Liqmax II 120s
RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport
MB: Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H
CASE: Sharkoon 9T Value Green
SSD: Crucial MX100 256GB
PSU: STRAIGHT POWER E9 | 580W CM

Maybe I broke my motherboard while trying to overclock? It's hard to tell but I think the clicking noise comes from the lower part of the motherboard somewhere.

edit: Found out, clicking noise is coming from the motherboard speaker.

Reset your CMOS and I would recommend not using the EasyTune again...
To reset your CMOS, unplug your PC from the wall then take out the battery on the motherboard. Let the machine sit for anywhere from 10-20 minutes to make sure all of the power is drained from the pc. After the time has passed, insert the battery and plug in the computer.
That should reset your BIOS and disable all overclocking stuff. As it returns the BIOS back to the way it was when your first got it

I forgot to mention in my post that I have already reset my CMOS. I removed the battery over the night and put it back in again.

edit: I also put the default BIOS settings back on.

weird clicking sound may be nothing but the fins of a fan brushing against a wire. You need to probably tie off any loose cables with a zip tie or some sort of clip; just a distraction from the real problem

which could be anything from a short due a screw rattling around inside the chassis to some component problem. It does sound like a hardware problem so you will have to try some boring diagnostics like memtest86 from a usb stick

There are tools you can get to detect eletronic faults or you could try a multimeter if you're handy with it; there are tests you can do across circuits to see if the resistances are normal but most of us wouldn't know the ins and outs of it; very often you can deduce the fault by other means if you have the experience. Otherwise you're just stuck with the trial and error process of elimination; and soon you realize how stuck you are with only 1 pc and no diagnostic tools.

I removed everything besides board/chip/ram and I was able to find out that the clicking noise is coming from he motherboard speaker.

Weird because i thought the speaker was only there for beeping noises but apparently it can also click. Wasn't lucky googling about that click sound. Guess I have to return the motherboard then...

Well since you say the clicking is from the speaker, that means its not sending a beep to it, its sending direct current, so its pumping voltage through the speaker. Which it should not, it should only use that speaker for post beeps. Which again makes me believe that there is something wrong with the motherboard.
You can try MemTest86 but IMHO it sounds like something is wrong with the motherboard
