Hi, my friends computer won't turn on at all unless they remove the ram sticks and put it back in, and even then, it still sometimes does not work. They have an older PC, and they've had it for 7+ years.
maybe the RAM has problem, you may ask your friend to test the RAM by MemTest86 http://www.memtest86.com/download.htm If he/she can't find what is wrong, may go to local PC ask for help. Also let your friend to update the BIOS or all the drivers too.

Model "Dell Studio XPS 435 Desktop"
Couple of things to try if he has two or more Rams. Try single RAM in Motherboard one by one. Change the Motherboard CMOS battery which gives all sort of weird problems.Does the PC has a graphics card?
