ASRock H61M-HVS didn't detect hd

Hello, my motherboard asrock H61M-HVS didn't detect my hd. I already changed the sata cable but still didn't detect.
I can enter bios menu.
My processor dual core with win 7.
So what should i do ?
Is it the sata socket in MB ... Pls help me.

Maybe the SATA port or the HDD has problem, you can check the HDD into other PC first.

Hdd was normal and i already checked it.
Is there anyway to detect "IF" the socket are broken ?

If you have the DVD/CD ROM or other HDD, then try it on that SATA port. But I think your HDD may be going to die. You can use other software to test the HDD, Like Data LifeGuard Diagnostics (DOS) for WD HDD, SeaTools (DOS) for Seagate HDD, even other like CrystalDiskInfo for the HDD S.M.A.R.T.
By the way, does it show up in the BIOS? And is it new or used?
