My friend is trying to make a "gaming" PC out of his oldish desktop. All of the specs are acceptable but the processer is this: AMD Athlon II X4 635 2.9GHz Quad-Core Processor What graphics card should he get? He was thinking a 750ti but I doubt he can make anything work with that CPU.

Well it's not the worst CPU, but it's nowhere near the best either... I mean, it's got the 64-bit extension to its instruction sets, it's got virtualization built in, and it's under 100 watts.

However, I wouldn't try to pair it with anything above a 750ti. Actually, I would think that the 750ti would make a good pairing with this CPU.

Does his motherboard have the PCIe x16 connector needed for the GPU?
