A cross between a computer engineer and a quantum physicist I would imagine. Im not sure if there is a specific name for someone who works with quantum computers yet.

Actually from what Ive been hearing (and seeing in the engineering department at UCSC) its a cross between a Physics Major, Computer Science Major (not CE surprisingly, as its mostly theoretical at this point), and an Electrical Engineer.
There is no specific person who works on QC. If you have the skillset they need they would hire you, there is no one field that can do it.
