well unless you can test the card in a modern computer to insure it works like said just may not be compatible with your board at all

that seems to be the push these days with thing ''get folks off theer good old stuff'' force them on to the new . dropping compatibility os support ect.......

I figure this time in 2 yerars it will be win-10 or nothing anything less then a skylake a no go if you what to use there new you will have all new

anyway with out testing the card to insure it just not a lemon you just don't know just the way it is with the new cards and some older boards as well

use to be you bought hardware to do and support your needs now you buy to support them and there needs

stuck in a boot loop doesn't sound like a power supply issue. I would try your old card first and see what happens. If it boots than you may want to go into the bios and make sure the PCIE settings are set right. it might be is some legacy mode.

''z68Xpud3 ' remember how these older boards had compatibility issue with 900 cards ???? looks like maybe the same thing with the new 10 series as well ??

you need to update your board to its latest bios for newer card support if not it maybe a no go if theres nothing wrong with the card

one more thing of concern as well ''(When updating from legacy to UEFI, use only the utility attached to your BIOS file) ''

these cards need full uefi bios to work correctly ??

[don't know if you got a rev1 or 3 board ?/]

hopefully you not SOL on any new cards over the 700 series

one guy with that board and a 900 card did the bios and still not not work so for the heck of it he put the card in the boards 8x slot and he claimed it worked in it fine just for some reason not in the x16 slot ???
.1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x8 (PCIEX8)

sounds crazy but maybe it just mite work out in it ???? what do you got to loose ??
