Safe to use 2 psu on one board?

Ive got a large board and was planning on using 2 psu's rather than a single 1000W+ psu.

Originally i was going to power the board with the 1st psu and the graphics cards with the 2nd psu. But im short one 12v 8-pin connector on the 1st psu, and was wondering if it was safe to use it from the 2nd psu so that the board is being powered by 2 different psu's?

Phanteks makes something that lets you combine two psus in one system called the power combo that you could try here is a link. Dont know if that is what you are looking for or not, but just an idea.
