Hello,
I recently installed an EVO 212 cooler on on Intel i5-2400 to replace the stock cooler since I was noticing hot temperatures during games and throttling as a result. After installing, the MB (Biostar TH67+) indicates a CPU/chipset error and does not go through the normal cycling (all LEDs are red). I can get to my BIOS info screen and even boot Windows (7) in safe mode, however, and all the fans and HDs seem to be responding. I put the stock cooler back on and get the same error.
I read that some people have messed up there CPUs (and/or MBs) by overtightening the screws of the EVO during installation... Is there anyway to confirm that's what's happened? Any other ideas?
Thank you!
