this temp is really alarming, isn't it?

Fan speed reached only 36 %, (crimson center used, Not Catalyst)
GPU thermal diode went to 71 C (according to HWinfo) during gaming / benchmarking.

thx.

Solution
Most VRM`s Voltage regulator modules.

If you have a high end graphics card can reach 100c +
and work without problems.

Some Vrm`s are rated to work at 130c max elodman.

But if the temps worry you then use Msi afterburner and set up a fan profile duty cycle with higher rpm fan values to keep a head of the heat build up.

Or use the Ati crimson software suite and force a manual fan speed for the card of higher fan rpm rates to start with.

That keeps a head of what we call the thermal mass of a cooler.
Where is soaks up heat to its maximum capacity due to the size or area of the cooler block and the amount of heat pipes and cooling fins on the Gpu, and contacting the Vrm modules to cool them.

The more you keep a head of the build up...

The more you keep a head of the build up by increasing the air flow of the fans of the card in rpm it will help keep the Vrm`s of the card at a lower C value than the 107c you are seeing from the Vrm section of the card ok.

Try a manual setting of 48% for the fans of the card.

thx Shaun o for thy thorough answer, also, not the 1st time (beers / bullion en route)

Would tune the fans, but the Ati crimson software suite says, by accepting / entering into Overdrive mode, where fans can me controlled, warranty is broken.
But I guess, such an innocent action of mine could not be proved later...

(Also, will equip my case with many fans)
