so i have a ASUS p5p41t-le and i have been running 2x2gb sticks just fine but i wanted 8 to help out in games like fallout 4, GTA V, ark ect so i purchased 8gb 2x4gb kit for my computer and the ram was incompatible but i wasn't angry about that cause i plan on ugrading to a newer cpu/mobo soon anyways but someone told me on another forum post that the ram was incompatible because it was high density so i am planing on buying a used lga 1155 mobo/cpu and was wondering if the ram would be compatible (like does LGA 1155 support high density)Gskill Ripjaws 2x4gb 1600 ddr3 because on my motherboards website i wasnt told anything about high density ram or low density and the ram was purchased brand new off of new egg and i still dont fully understand high density vs low
thank you for taking the time to answer my post

and pls dont sent me links to stuff you think i should

oh yea ive also herd that high density was only compatible with amd but i dont believe that

don't know where the guy that told you that the RAM is high density show it, but i couldn't find any mention if this RAM is high density or low density. Your ASUS p5p41t-le motherboard can't support 1600Mhz RAM that's why it wasn't working. Just buy a combo that can support 1600 Mhz memory, preferably one that this RAM is tested on it, and your RAM will work fine !

Mobos are designed to run DRAM that is available, back in the days of socket 775, the low density was all that was available.towards the end of 2010 memory makers moved to using strictly high density memory ICs which aren't compatible with the older socket 775 and very seldom with even the 1366 and most 1156 mobos. 1155 was the first where the high density ICs were aimed at, and all three models of the RipJaws lines are compatible 9the original plain Ripjaws used low density, the Ripjaws X (high) were aimed at the 1155 (P67 and Z77) and the RipJaws Z (high) came out aimed at X97
