Hey folks

Im hoping you can help me, I have recently made a uefi bootable windows 7 usb and installed windows 7 home 64, I downgraded from windows 10 64 as I was having compatibility issues with some programs I use for work and games.

Anyway after converting my HDD using diskpart to GPT and installing windows 7 64 with no issues, I decided to go ahead and download drivers and other things as you do after a fresh install, and I find I am able to browse websites such as google and others with no problem, but anytime I try to download say for example graphics drivers, the download will start and maybe get to 20 MB and just slow right down and eventually stop completely, I am currently using a wireless connection to my Sky router, but I have also tried wired and it has the same effect.

I have tried uninstalling drivers and reinstalling them, wiping windows 7 and reinstalling, changing wireless adapters, resetting router, resetting tcp/ip settings and I just cannot figure it out. Before I downgraded to windows 7 64 from windows 10 64 the internet was fine and downloaded perfectly normal. Like I say I can browse websites fine but when I try to download anything the above happens. I have also tried turning off the windows firewall and windows defender.

I have checked for malware and viruses and neither are currently present.

Please can anyone help me who may have a solution or who has had this problem themselves, you would be really helping me out.

Thanks

David
