Good day I just formatted my laptop and installed windows 8 after it started getting real slow and now it keeps on crashing. As soon as the window logo is displayed it makes weird lines over the screen then it just restarts over and over again and I have used this windows on another computer and it worked fine. Would that be a system or hardware error? I even installed the HDD in another laptop and it started up normal.

Hi,

Its a hardware error. More precisely its a RAM error. Not going technical here, just take out your RAM(s), & rub the golden terminal at the bottom with a pencil rubber (dust free is recommended). Do not use other hard materials as it may damage the RAM. Then gently put the RAM back into the motherboard slots & see that the RAM(s) are locked. This will solve the problem. If you have a graphics card, you'll have to do the same with it.

Hope this helps. :)
