Wireless networked printer constantly offline

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro X476dw multi-function printer (networked wirelessly) that I had relatively few problems with while I was using Windows 7 on my laptop. I recently did a clean install of Windows 10 and I've had multiple issues with the printer ever since. I seem to have resolved a complete non-responsiveness that would happen if I didn't use it overnight or for several hours. The most current problem is that I get a Windows notification that the printer is offline when I go to print (again, like the complete lack of response I was getting several weeks ago, after several hours, and for certain, after sitting overnight on the first print of the day). The quickest way I seem to be able to resolve this is by unplugging the printer from the wall outlet and plugging back in. HP Print and Scan doctor goes through the motions and sometimes resolves this but it's not permanent. But often Print & Scan Doc tells me that it cannot solve the issue and I should uninstall the print software. Now, I've done that about 4 times since I've been on Windows 10, again without permanent fix. I've also set a static IP on the printer, only to get the same result.
My wife's computer is still on Windows 7 and she has had no problems. I'm thinking this is an IP address issue that has some disconnect with how Windows 10 finds it.

Anyone have any other things that I might want to try to correct this?

Setting the "print faster first page" did not solve the problem. Couple hours later and first the printer didn't respond, then after clearing out the print queue and trying to print agin, it's telling me it's offline.

have you found a solution to this yet? i recently got a new modem, and my printer won't wake up from sleep ever since. it goes to sleep after 5-15 minutes of inactivity, and is supposed to wake up and print, but instead just shows "printer offline." i've tried everything. static ip, uninstalling and reinstalling the printer. still had the disc, the usb plug, everything. i feel like my printer just can't remember the new modem or something. it's so annoying, to have to run upstairs and wake it up.. what's the point of wireless if i have to walk to it anyway!

kraizy-
Ultimately my problem was solved but I can't remember the course of action that ultimately got it to resolve. I think it might have been a complete uninstall and re-install (yeah, PIA) of the HP full-function software (I just downloaded from HP). Could have also been some glitch within Windows 10, as I'm sure it's updated a few times since my original post. I would recommend the complete uninstall/re-install of the software.
