Hey everybody. I am getting a new PC and I was wondering if I should go for an SSD or HDD. I do have an 600GB HDD already. I am thinking about buying the Kingston HyperX Fury 240gb SSD. My concern is the lifespan of my SSD as I read they do have an expiration date.
Cheers!

Your HDD will die too one day, SSD life spans have increased to stage some SSD have stupidly long warranties now, some Samsung 1tb drives have 80+ year warranties on them. Very few people still be using a 1tb drive in 80 years. Life span is not something you should worry about if you get a good brand ssd, Kingston being one of them.

Get one, the speed difference is worth the risk, You should have backups of everything anyway, just in case.

You won't want to use a HDD once you have an SSD.

SSD lifespan with too many writes was an issue with first gen consumer grade drives.
This is no longer the case.

It will become outdated due to size long before it 'wears out'.
