Hello I am wondering why my Western Digital Caviar SE is getting such low score.

Hey there, GenericUsername132!

I believe these benchmark results are not really accurate for your WD Se drive. I'd advise you to use WD's Data LifeGuard Diagnostics utility or an HDD-specific testing tool . The one you have been using is a benchmark tool, rather than a diagnostic one.

Running the QUICK and EXTENDED tests from the DLG software will help you determine the health and SMART status of your WD Se drive.

Give it a go and keep me posted with the SMART results! :)

I ran the Quick Test and it passed. All the SMART points had a green tick too. Thanks :)

I'm glad to hear that, @GenericUsername132!
Either way, it's advisable to run both the QUICK and EXTENDED tests if you have any concerns about the drive itself.
The surest way to avoid potential data loss is to keep your most precious data stored on several locations/drives. Having multiple copies will definitely keep your peace of mind.

Best of luck! Hope I was helpful! :)

After five hours the extended test has completed and it passed! :mdr:
