reset laptop now no internet

So my laptop had some crazy virus so i just reset it to factory setting which wipped everything, but now my internet isnt working, the wifi says it is connected to the internet but when i go online its saying im not. I have updated my drivers and it still isnt working. please help

If you can connect a wired lead to from the laptop to the internet do so.

If you get no connection.
You need to setup a network in windows.

Click on network and sharing of windows.
Then click on setup a new connection, or network.

Windows needs to classify the type of connection or network type before you can have access to the internet.
If it says no network present, and the laptop is connected via a modem/ router config via the Ethernet ports of the router.
