Hello i am new and a NOOB at pc's.
I have recently purchased a pc and my APU is AMD A10 7850K quad core and i have corsair pro vengeance 8gb 2400mhz (2x4gb) with 550w corsair psu
My problem is in CPU-Z my NB freq is hovering around 1796.4 mhz, DRAM freq is 668.2mhz and FSB DRAM is 3.20 with CAS latency of 9 clocks.
Can someone please be a diamond and help me work out my RAM speed as i would like to hit around 2133mhz as i read this is the g-spot setting for A10'S,
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

You are currently running at 1333 - to get DRAM speed from CPU-Z look in memory tab at frequency and take that x 2 = effective - your at 668 so X 2 = 13336 (effectively 1333) - what mobo do you have - in the BIOS look for XMP setting (if GB mobo it may be EOCP setting, in Asus mobos it may be DOCP setting) enable itr and select 2133

Your motherboard might not recognize the XMP profile or may not support the 2133MHz setting. Don't quote me on this, but I'm not sure if the A68 chipset is capable of memory overclocking.

On spec out it says mobo has native speed of 2133mhz and can no clocked to 2400mhz, I've read some where that the 7850k can run off 2400mhz

I don't want 2400mhz speed 2133mhz would be great I did install new apu today (7850k) would this have reset my bios and is it natural for it to reset to 1333 mhz

My previous build was a a6 6400k with 16gb 1600 MHz ram when I checked under cpu-z for specs on this build ram was automatically at 1600mhz I didn't tinker with anything to get that spec
