I have a HP Pavilion P6-2120 pc with the following

AAHD2-HY (Holly2) motherboard
AMD A6 3620 Processor
6 GB Ram (DDR3)
1 PCI Express x16 (Gen 2.0) for video card expansion
400W Coolmax Power Supply

So I've been using an old MSI 1GB card I don't remember what model it is but it is about as old as the computer itself. I mainly use my computer for some light gaming and AutoCad work and the old card wasn't cutting it anymore. So I just ordered a new Zotac GeForce GTX 950 card and when I try and install it all I see is the initial splash screen the pc will beep twice and go to a blank screen. I removed the old card went back to integrated graphics and uninstalled all the MSI drivers (or at least I'm pretty sure I did), I checked the seating of the new card, I've even tried booting 3 or 4 times in a row to see if would recognize the new card, I had to change the power supply to go with the new card because my old power supply had no expansion capability and the new card needs the 6 pin PCI connector. I've tried everything I know how to do and I am really hoping someone can help me. I've seen about updating bios but when i go to product information on my motherboard there is nothing listed for the SSID and furthermore the only drivers and updates available on HP's site are for the update to Windows 10 which I've already done about 8 months ago. The fan cycles on the card so I know its getting power but I would really like to get this card functional. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Update: I found this computer is running Bios Version AMI 7.10 and apparently there is a 7.32 but I can't find it for download anywhere

Solution
Resetting the BIOS won't actually delete it, it just clears the settings.

It may be the cheap power supply, Coolmax is not the best brand. The other thing may be the fact that it's an OEM motherboard, those can have issues with add-on video cards. A BIOS update does fix things at times, but I don't even see a BIOS download for your model on HP support site.

Update: The old card still works and the computer will boot with it installed. I'm afraid to try and reset the BIOS since I don't know if I could reinstall a current one or not since I can't find anything on it
