I am looking to put together a new build. I have been so wrapped up in the 1080 for a while, that I'm out of the loop with my other components. I am planning to go skylake and ddr4 and there is an msi titanium board I like and I am going to try m2, but is there anything big that has come up in the last month or two or that will be in the next month or two?

Thanks.

RX 480 comes out tomorrow, but if you're looking at the 1080 then I assume you have a big budget so it doesn't really matter. Nothing much on the RAM or motherboard side that's radically different. CPU's I guess AMD's Zen, but it's likely not going to be faster than skylake nor is it going to come out in a month or two. I guess in terms of m.2 NVME ssd's then there's the samsung SM 961, which there's a review for on the front page. Oh actually corsair released vengeance ram with LEDs cause you gotta have your LEDs on every component in you pc.

Amd is supposed to be coming out with there new cpu at the end of the year. I would stick with skylake though. I have a skylake i5 6600k with a msi z170a g-45 motherboard and it is amazing. Just bought a gtx 1070 to go with it. Skylake is definitely the way to go.
