Gaming Pc final build, advice needed.

Solution
I just tried my new 1070 with the Dell S2716DG and love it - same specs as the ROG and much cheaper (here in US anyway). 1440p, ultra (MSAA only 2x), i'm hitting 144 fps most of the time (in metro, doubt that high outside) and have gsync on. Smooth as glass , no blur even without ULMB. Very quiet card even under load and boosting to 1950Hz without a tweak. Still need to try witcher and see how it does. I'd definitely consider 1440p since getting a 1070 - in a few years when you get a new gpu your monitor will be solid already. Also remember you dont need wuite as much AA at 1440 so not losing much by dialing that back.

Also, agree you can go less on psu but 500gb SSD shoukd be plenty for a long time. That would get you 5 huge...

That's a very nice build and should last until your next upgrade @ 1080p/144mhz for the lifespan of the machine.

I don't know what your budget is, but you could probably drop down to a Skylake i5 and the 8GB Radeon 480 that comes out tomorrow.

I'm an NVidia fan so it was hard for me to type that.

Also, if you're not adding a second card ever, you could easily have a 650w PSU!!

Some people will say your build is overkill for 1080p - while this is true, I'd rather have too much power than not enough ;)

The i7 is so overkill for gaming. Get an i5 6600k with a msi z170a g-45 motherboard and ddr4 ram you will be set for years. I have this exact setup with a 1070 and i max everything out no problem. I would also recommend a zalman cooler. It keeps my pc at 35 degrees Celsius under full load but thats just a personal preference. Here are links to everything i mentioned.

Thanks guys, whats up with this GSYNC? I'm getting pretty high end with this build and was originally going to go for the gtx 1080 with a 1440p monitor. I figure if I'm spending this much money I maybe should go all out. Im pretty happy with 1080p gaming though, the games I play are mostly like starcraft 2 and CSGO, and Doom. I was looking at that ROG Swift pg278q, but the reviews look pretty awful.. What do you guys think? Is it worth it for GSYNC AND 1440p or should I just sick with what I got?

Made a few changes. The PSU you chose is... Overkill. I chose the SeaSonic PSU they are cheaper same or better performance. I still gave you room to go SLI if you wanted. I chose the MSI mobo just because I personally have had great experience and the BIOS is very easy to use. I changed the storage its a little less but its cheaper. If you aren't editing or rendering the i7 isn't needed. You could just go with the 6600K
