Hey guys, I changed my gpu to an older one( 9800gt ) I think because I wanted the gpu in it on my newer pc. Now pc won't load up? Keeps going on repair mode or start normally and I can't press anything but to repair it.. Yet it does nothing :/ sometime it blue screens too..

maybe the card went bad ? or something caused it v-bios to get wiped ? how long was the 9800 a dust collector [last time it was used ?? ]

lol.... uninstall video drivers and re-install should fix it ... got to get to desktop first right ?? maybe put your good card back in and do that ??

That's the thing, I can't install reinstall drivers since PC won't load? Unless I have to put my new gpu back in delete everything and install the gt9800 files? Then switch? Not long maybe 2weeks

Okay well the computer turned on so thanks for that guys, so to double check all I do now is uninstall drivers from my new gpu, and download the old drivers for 9800gt and that's it?

I never ran in to that myself but heres a guide to look over ?? cant say it will resolve or not ?

https://www.igadgetsworld.com/how-to-nvidia-graphics-driver-can-not-find-compatible-graphics-hardware/

loks like a lot of to do's there ??

I do see at tims the intel graphics driver will interfere and some say to uninstall it as well then install the NVidia driver ?? [sounds the easy way to try first over that article I posted ?

your not using windows 10 by chance are you ??

Version: 341.95 WHQL
Release Date: 2016.3.16
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/99998/en-us

http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/341.95/341.95-win10-desktop-release-notes.pdf

funny how its the same driver number but only for win-10 is listed under it ???

Nah Windows 7, thanks for all the help guys but I give up haha, just gonna throw the whole thing in the trash. Stupid thing turns on to bios screen but doesn't display once Windows screen is loading

does this only whern on the NVidia drivers or can it go to desktop in safe mode or when there no installed NVidia driver ??

to me if the card works in safe mode or with out the NVidia driver but fails under using the NVidia driver card went bad or faulity or power issue

I installed a old 6600 agp 8x card about 2 months ago I had in a junk box it worked great still today ? maybe just on of them things your lucky or your not

sorry it did not work out
