My itention here is to upgrade my pc from what i have now.

I am upgrading my ram to this: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-pro-series-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr3-dram-1600mhz-c9-memory-kit-cmy16gx3m2a1600c9r

And My Processor To This: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113284

OR THIS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113285

I have two questions here.

1. Is the 8350 Better than the 8320?

2. Will my ram and new processor run with my current pc specs.

Processor AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor

Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970

RAM 8.0 GB

A good cooler if he doesn't have one is where I'd start. A $30 hyper 212 or similar cooler is a good idea as it can be used on current platforms. OCing his CPU with the good cooler is where I'd start. I wouldn't bother spending the money on an 83xx because from the benchmarks I've seen they just aren't worth the $$$ for gaming over a 6300. OCing the 6300 might hold him over until Zen comes out, and then he can decided which platform to upgrade to.

You'd have to get a new motherboard to get increases in gaming performance. At stock speeds the chip you have is already faster in some cases then the chips you want to get, and you don't need to spend any money to keep it.

Why are you upgrading? Rather then come in and tell us what you are buying, tell us what's wrong, or what your thoughts are. We might have a better idea on what to do.

Well, when it comes to heavily populated areas my fps is done. Take gta 5, i play LSPDFR and out of town i stable at 70-80 fps. But in down 30-35 Which makes no sense.

While GTA5 isn't in the list, there are games with lots of stuff going on like Star Craft 2 or WoW. Both of these games have the 8320 just ahead of the 6300. Problem is only just. Considering you have an unlocked chip I'd try to slap a good cooler on it and OC it as much as you safely can. Because if you want a large increase in performance you'll need to switch camps.

The FX-83xx CPUs will add more cores over your existing FX-6300, but the majority of games probably don't even use all of the cores you have. This is why FX CPUs tend to underperform compared to Intel CPUs, which have fewer but far faster cores.

^ The Core i5 2500K was released in 2011, and the i3 4330 is a dual core from 2013.

For now, I'd suggest overclocking your FX-6300, but don't spend much, if any more money on the platform. When you're ready for more than and OC'd 6300 can provide, the most direct route to getting what you want is to replace it with an Intel CPU and motherboard.

Intel CPU and motherboard that accepts either his old DDR3 or he'll have to add some DDR4 on his list if he chooses a newer Intel CPU.
