Hello,

Spec:
i7-2700k @ 4.7Ghz (OC'd by PC Specialists) watercooled
GTX 980
P8Z68-V
8Gb Kingston 1600mhz

Last night while gaming (4-5 hours worth) my machine unexpectedly cut power. On reboot, the Bios load warned of an overheating CPU. Within the BIOS the CPU was 53c, so I restarted the machine once again and the following occurs each and every time:

1. Machine begins to boot, cuts power
2. Auto boots again and BSOD 'IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL'
3. Auto boots and dispalys 'Repairing Windows 10'
4. Repair stops and displays BSOD 'ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY'

At times, this message also briefly appears 'Detecting drives: Done; No drives found.'. This displays for a fraction of a second then continues to the BSOD.

I'm stuck in this loop now, unable to load windows.

The thermal paste hasn't been replaced since I bought the PC November 2011.

Does this look like a Windows error? i.e. Shall I try reinstalling Windows 10 with USB device? Or does this look like a damaged piece of hardware?

Thanks

Sounds like cutting power corrupted some major files in Windows. Youll need to do a clean install of Windows
Unless you have a repair disk and you dont mind spending the time running DISM and SFC commands for hours

Currently trying to boot Windows 10 from USB and SD card. No joy, BSOD ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY after the Windows Logo displays.

Also trying with a Windows 7 DVD, loads the windows files and freezes on the Windows logo ('Starting Windows').

Also reset BIOS too.
