Hello folks,

yesterday i tried to install Windows 7 on my new homeserver-board (http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/N3150-ITX/) but since Intel has removed their support for the Enhanced Host Controller Interface i had to use this tool provided by ASRock: http://www.asrock.com/microsite/win7install/. The tool gave me a "write successful" and i thought i could install Windows now. But from that point on my USB-stick (Transcend JetFlash 700 32GB) was dead.

As described in the title the stick blinks up one time when i plug it into a device and after that nothing happens. I tried 3 different Windows computers, my RaspberryPi, my phone and my tablet (with OTG) but it's always the same phenomenon. The stick isn't showing up in Disk Management and the Transcend JetFlash Recovery Tool can't find the stick aswell. I can't test MacOS, because i don't know anyone with a Mac but i assume it will be the same.

I know a new stick just costs about 10€ and it's already about 3 years old but i would still prefer solving this problem since it was working 100% fine until i used that program.

Does anyone know if that tool is really able to destroy a USB-stick hardwarewise? And if not, any ideas how i could get that stick back to life?

Thanks,
