So I recently received a xfx r7 370 as an RMA replacement for my overheating 6870. I replaced the card today and the system would not post. All of the fans spin up and the lights on the motherboard light up. I am at a complete loss here and could really use some help. I feel like an idiot. Below are my specs.

Cpu i5 2500 k
Gpu R7 370
Ram 8 gig ripjaws x
Power thermaltake 850w

Is there any more information that is needed. I'm quite desperate here. Like I said the computer will not boot. It turns on, the fans start, the lights on the mobo start. I have tried reseating the gpu several times, I've tried turning the computer on without the card installed at all. I've tried moving the ram and just running one stick. I'm really at a loss here and in desperate need of help. Thank you.

No. I mean I can't see anything without the card in, but the CPU fan didn't speed up as it normally would. Basically my monitor cycles from HDMI to analog searching for a source. Also, if I hit the power button it turns right off. I am in a bind as neither the case nor the mobo came with a speaker so I am not getting the post sounds. I hope that I made it more clear. Thank you for your help and reply.

You have probably knocked a cable and it's become disconnected only slightly but that's enough. I installed a second drive in my pc which was a simple process but it was enough to disturb a connection and the pc refused to boot.

Thank you for your help. I tried checking just about ever plug I could see and no joy. Still no response on my monitor. I'm just in this bind where I can't figure out what the culprit is.
