You could get something like a GT 740 for entry-level gaming. Depends on which games you want to play, but i would seriously recommend changing the whole system.

I mean that you could get the Nvidia GT 740 so get an okay gaming experience, but personally adquiring one in 2016 is just not worth it, i would recommend you getting building a whole new computer to have a nice gaming experience. However if you really can't waste money, you can stick with the GT 740 but it won't be anything surprising. If you do want to build a new gaming computer i can recommend you one for around $800.

I see. As I'm checking out the nvidia GT 740 there's about 5 different kinds as to which one should I get and do I have to change out my mother board or the power supply ?

You could get the MSI GT 740 2GB, but you would have to change the power supply if you don't wanter your computer to explode.
