I have the GA-Z97X-Gaming 3 motherboard and 16GB of DDR3 1600Mhz Gskill Sniper Memory. I run modded Minecraft servers, clients, and other programs at the same time and I sometimes get the message of running out of memory, which closes things out and causes a lot of frustration. I want to upgrade to 24GB. I've looked on http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4966#sp and found it says it supports Dual Channel but nothing about Tripple. Under Memory, it says "Please refer "Memory Support List" for more information." and I can't seem to find that list. I don't really want to upgrade 32GB because I'm saving for other things. If I just add the other stick would I be able to run the original 2 in dual channel and then have the other one in single channel? Thanks

Basically it's a 50/50 crapshoot, might play might not...if you try and have problems, give a shout and we can try voltage/timing adjustments
You don't need to be searching for "triple channel". Your board operates in dual channel and that won't change. If you add a single stick of 8gb it will just run in single channel while the original two run in dual. Keep in mind there is always a chance that the two memory kits won't play nice together and will not work, but usually it's fine.

Alright I'll pick up another stick and if I have problems I will be sure to ask for help. Thanks guys!
