i need to know what i cheap mobo is that would be good to OC with and hopefullly allow me to unlock my 2 additional cores. must be DDR3 and mATX. thanks

It's been a while, but if I recall correctly, the 840T mostly have defective cores that were sent off to OEMs for budget builds rather than ones that were simply locked. You would need a very specific use case to really get much of a benefit from getting the 5th and 6th cores unlocked - the six-core Thubans just didn't perform that much better than the four-core Denebs and in gaming, the gain is just about nothing. The 960Ts, also an OEM CPU rather than one that had general release, tended to have far better odds of unlocking.
It's my understanding those cores are not unlockable for that model.

Even if you could it will make almost no difference for gaming. An overclock would obviously help, so I'll see if they still have suitable boards then get back.

Just FYI, but your FPS can never exceed the amount of CPU overclock. So if you managed say 20% and had 30FPS then you can at best get 36FPS.

Not the best CPU, but if your GPU is really weak too then it might be the best thing to change, though it will depend on the game.

i got one of the Phenom ii x4s that does have the potential but it isnt garenteeed though. what i need to know is how do i tell if a mobo has the ability to do this or not? is there a certain type of mobo that is or osnt capable of OC and/or able to unlock cores?
