My girlfriend and I just moved into a new house. The house is about 700 feet from a main highway and right across the street from my family's business. We tried to have time warner internet installed (which is what the business has across the street) and they want to charge us $5000 to run a line which we can not afford. The business has wifi and a decent range extender that shoots internet probably halfway up our driveway. We are probably about 1000-1200 feet from where the router is inside the building across the road. The area in front of our house is a driving range so it is a wide open field, however there is a bit of tree cover right directly in front of the house. My question is, is there some kind of range extender that can reach this type of distance and still get decent speed? Thoughts are greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
