Hey everyone,

I've a NVIDIA gtx 970 Card and I'm building a gaming rig around it. I need help in picking the adequate parts for it. Processor would be an Intel one.
I'm looking for sheer performance something that won't hold my 970 back and also a rig for the future.

Thank you for your time!

Solution
i5 6600 (k or no k is your choice)
Motherboard Z (for k intel series) or H*, B* for non k intel.
8GB ram min - 16GB max.
SSD, atleast 120gb, recommended 250-500gb for windows/some games
1TB HDD (WD Black/Blue or Seagate)
550W or higher if you have in mind overclocking ,XFX TS/ProSeries , EVGA Supernova.

You will need a CPU Cooler if you want to go for K cpu, remember that!

use pcpartpicker.

Above is correct, however you should specify a BUDGET as there's a lot of variation such as more expensive gaming oriented motherboards (i.e. $200 or so Asus Hero version) with SupremeFX audio.

I'll make an example build then you can play around with it (USA. if not, link to correct country).

The Cryorig H7 is probably suitable for a light overclock (I aim for about 75degC max when converting a video with HANDBRAKE using all threads as a guide). Make sure the fan software is installed from Asus or whoever and adjust the fan profile (which may include case fans). I didn't pick a liquid cooler because frankly because I find most of them a bit too noisy. So do your research carefully on that.

A Corsair H100i GTX is one of the better ones.

I chose a red/black theme and a motherboard with good audio (though no window on the case so I guess it doesn't matter). Excellent power supply. I like the CASE but you may not so have fun.
