Hi Guys,

I am a pc-gamer and am slowly falling behind as far as FPS and high settings go and was hoping to upgrade my computer. I mainly play LOL, overwatch and random AAA games and am hoping to do so on high settings. I understand my graphics card is absolute garbage and am pretty sure my CPU isn't in great shape either. I was wondering which card you would suggest and if an upgrade in CPU is necessary? I understand if I get a new graphics card I will need a new power supply and potentially a new case, any help is greatly appreciated!

The parts for my computer are as follows:
Western Digital Blue 500G SATA3 HDD Caviar Blue
CoolerMaster GX 550W 80+
CoolerMaster RC-K350 Gaming Case w/window No PSU
Intel Core i5 3570 LGA1155 CPU 3.4Ghz 6Mb Cache Ivy Bridge
Samsung SATA Black Internal DVD/RW Drive
Samsung 120GB SSD 840 Series SATA III 6Gbs 2xnm Toggle DDR 2.0 NAND 3-Core MDX Controller, 256MB
Gigabyte GA-Z77-HD3 4 x DDR3 1 x PCI-E3.0 2 x SATA3 4 x USB3.0 HDMI D-SUB DVI-D GLAN RAID Cro
Asus GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5

Thanks!

If you feel that processor is inadequate, check what's best processor for your MB and look for "K" at the end, you could even overclock it for longer useful life.
I wouldn't count on next 2 or 3 years to go to CF/SLI, a lot will change by than. Also 970, unless you can find it for greatly reduced price, doesn't make much sense beside 1070.

Hi CountMike,

So do you think that I should upgrade both my CPU and GPU? Would you suggest the 970, 1070 or Rx480? I was potentially thinking of purchasing a 970 or Rx480 and then in a year or two purchasing a second and running in SLI or crossfire. Thoughts?

ur processor be fine i running a sandy bridge socket & its still running most new release games no issues give it some more ram go buy a decent 1080 gtx ti oc version & clock it up if need be go get a new psu for good measure & shell out for even & more grunty i5 or i7 there heaps out there for sandy bridge chipsets & run mean & the 2nd gen 3rd gen chips will still beat a AMD even new gen any day as they still 5 years behind intel for technological advances that intel has got atm
