PC was working fine yesterday, today it won't turn on at all but starts up when i take out the graphics card

I have taken apart the PC completely and put it back together, all the wires are connected just like before and it boots normally without the graphics card but when i put the graphics card in nothing turns on, no lights no fans, nothing.

Alienware x51 R1

i7 3770 intel core
GeForce GTX 660 Ti
Seagate Barracuda 2000GB
2 x 8GB RAM

well in the end it really could only be the video card or power supply. do you have another computer you can test the card in?
