i bought a corsair 430 psu and a evga 750ti sc with the intention of upgrading a prebuilt pc with these specs:

http://www.cnet.com/products/acer-aspire-tc-105-w-a-series-a10-6700-3-7-ghz-10-gb-1-tb/specs/

the power supply went in all fine and dandy with the old card it booted fine and has no problems, however when i plug in the 750 ti the pc refuses to boot and in fact freezes on the "acer" page. if i open the bios before the freeze i can use it for about 1 second before it also freezes and im unable to change any settings there.
if i plug in the old card the pc is fully functional and can boot and used normally again.
the fan on the card spins and i do not doubt that it is working however i did buy it 2nd hand however it was unused with not even a spec of dirt on it.
i am worried there might be some sort of compability issue and im wondering if there is anything i can do to make it work.

eventually after trying some things suggested to me by a guy on reddit i made it boot once with the 750 ti working fine. however once i tried updating its drivers it lost connection to the monitor and i couldnt see anything so i restarted my pc and it begun to do the freezing thing again

i tried repeating what i did to fix it the first time by flashing the bios with the latest update which did not help.

i hope somone here can help me as im really gutted that my first attempt at creating a somewhat decent pc is failing miserably.

thanks for taking the time to read.
p.s. my os is win10 if that matters

Well EVGA site says "Minimum of a 300 Watt power supply. Total Power Draw : 60 Watts" so your above it limits.

Does this card need a x6 pin PCIE connector?, I can not see one in the pictures as there is no above view one.

I'm already starting to think you received a faulty one, who was the seller?

Just have a look through your options in the bios, can be in difference places on different motherboards.

Also, might be worth finding out if your motherboard has a newer bios update available for it.

i bought it second hand on ebay however it was sold by someone who had not used it at all.
the card does not need a 6pin

it was 0 as it wasnt a person who had not sold many items. they had bought this to upgrade their pc but it did not fit in their case so they are selling it. and since i managed to boot up with this card once i assume the card is not at fault.

i spoke to them on twitter a bit too and she doesnt seem like she was scamming or anything like that

Usually only doing the things I have suggested. Otherwise, replacing the motherboard with a good retail one.

Sure what country are you in? whats you preferred retailer?

Might be worth contacting Acer support, as they may have a fix for it also.

i live in england and i dont mind retailer as long as its as cheap as can be :S
acer support said
"acer does not support adding of new hardware and cannot support you on any hardware modifications you make"

So I found out that someone has got basically this exact setup to work and sold it on eBay a while ago, I'm definitely missing something. (Also it's def a mAtx board)
