Help needed for choosing new Processor

Hello,
I wanna buy a new processor for my gaming pc. I have selected one but i don't know whether it will be supported by my motherboard.
the processor is an i5 4690k and my motherboard is asus p8b75-m.
I would have gone witht the 6600k but for that I also need to buy a new motherboard which is way out of my budget.So I was searching for the best i5 processor of last gen which was good in gaming.
finally I arrived at this model.If u have other suggestions please tell me.But I guess the 4690k is only a beast.

Unfortunately the 4690k won't work in that motherboard either. You need to be looking for a socket 1155 processor like a 3570k.

What is your current processor and GPU?

damn am so unlucky,my current processor is i5 3330 and i have a hd 7770;I was planning on getting this cpu and a rx 480 8gb. Anyway thanx for helping .Can you tell me whether there is a huge performance margin between the 4690k and my 3330.

I'd keep the 3330. It's not worth the money to upgrade at this point IMO. It will be fine with an RX 480.

What resolution is your monitor and how strong is your PSU?

They perform close enough to each other that I don't see a huge difference either way. The 390 has the edge is most games. But the RX 480 may yet prove to adapt better to future offerings.

It's a coin flip. Personally I'd wait a little bit for either the RX 480 to get some better (non-reference) cooler designs out (and for them to work out any early driver bugs).
