Hello, i recently found a couple computers and ive been testing parts since yesterday
the current part im testing is a Dell Vostro 470 8500 - LGA1155 socket
ive use multiple PSUs to test it, so i know that is not the issue, the ONLY things i have plugged into it is a 24 pin, and a 4 pin ----- and a random fan plugged into the cpu fan socket (no CPU)
i hard power on the computer using the screwdriver method and it will not complete post
or rather, it trys to--- it goes into and ENDLESS LOOP of some sort, turning the power supply fan and random CPU fan on and off every 5 seconds (yes the MOBO light is on)
no beeps, no video output, no clear CMOS button to been seen
there are these jumpers "PSWD" and "RTCRST" and they have these blue plastic caps on them ----- and i was reading online somewhere thats a way to clear BIOS and NRAM, but i have no idea how to do it
no one is giving a good detailed explanation and im lost and frustrated cause i have a good feeling this motherboard can be saved
any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
-thanks
